The American Board of Veterinary Practitioners (ABVP) is preparing to host its 18th Annual ABVP Symposium, which will be held October 31 to November 3, 2013 in Phoenix. The ABVP is inviting all of its members and supporters to attend, including veterinarian and ABVP diplomate Dr. Timothy Fitzpatrick. Having practiced as a veterinarian for more than three decades, Dr. Timothy Fitzpatrick operates ABQ Petcare Hospital in Albuquerque. As a vet, Dr. Fitzpatrick is board certified in companion animal practice, one of the few veterinarians to hold this certification in the United States and Canada.

In its 18th year, the ABVP Symposium will feature an opening reception, lectures and seminars, online proceedings, networking opportunities, and more. A few of the topics to be discussed include challenges and opportunities of evidence-based veterinary medicine, how to improve clinical decision making, and the compatibility of evidence-based medicine with alternative medicine.

Founded in 1978, the ABVP and its diplomates are dedicated to delivering high-quality veterinary services to their clients. The organization strives to advance the field of veterinary medicine through the clinical excellence displayed by its members.
