Timothy Fitzpatrick, DVM, a board-certified veterinarian based in Albuquerque, New Mexico, draws on more than 35 years of experience of practice as a vet. Dr. Fitzpatrick holds Diplomat status with the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners, a distinction that approximately 600 vets affiliated with the organization in the United States and Canada have achieved. The ABVP grants the title of Diplomat to select veterinarians who demonstrate outstanding knowledge and expertise in their field, as well as at least one animal category specialization. Timothy Fitzpatrick, DVM has developed comprehensive knowledge within all veterinary medicine categories and has appeared on several radio and television programs to address a variety of pet health issues. He gives specific expertise in treating companion animals.

Timothy Fitzpatrick, DVM, earned his veterinary degree at the New York State College of Veterinary Medicine at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York. He continues his involvement with the university and has been an adviser to the Cornell University Veterinary School curriculum committee. Additionally, he remains involved with the Albuquerque animal rescue community by collaborating with local humane organizations. Some of the groups he has volunteered his time and expertise with include the Albuquerque Animal Humane Association, the New Mexico Wildlife Rescue, and the People’s Anti-Cruelty Association. Further, Dr. Fitzpatrick assisted Alley Cat Allies during a post Hurricane Katrina rescue effort that saved more than 100 pets in Gulfport, Mississippi and holds low-cost vaccine clinics twice each month.

After opening and operating two other veterinary medical centers throughout his career, Timothy Fitzpatrick, DVM presently maintains ABQ Petcare Hospital, a practice that he opened in 2009. Dr. Fitzpatrick previously practiced as a vet for 14 years in New York.
